He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell F. Odell and Virginia Churchill Odell; and his siblings, Mary, Sue, Dot and Bobby.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Odell; his children, James Russell Odell of Hayesville, Karen Lynn Wilson of Cherokee, Virginia Williamson (Jonathan) of Franklin and Jesse Odell (Emma) of Otto; and his siblings, Carol Odell of Mexico, Donald Hall of New Orleans, Fred Odell of Rhode Island, Linda Wilson of Rhode Island, Steven Odell of Rhode Island, Lori Dolan of Rhode Island and Jim Odell of New Mexico. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Men's Challenge of the Smokies or to No Wrong Door for Support and Recovery.
