Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Sara Sue leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Clarence Ellerbee and Ada Voorhies Neal; her former husband Gerald "Bud" Grady Altom, Jr.; her husband Pete Roberts; her sons, Gerald David Altom and Michael Roy Altom; and her sister Clara Jane Harbes.
She is survived by: her sons, Bret Wayne Altom (Angela) and John Bart Altom (Lisa); and her brother Roy Ellerbee (Effie). She is also survived by five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
