Andrew Robert Lortcher Obituary

Andrew Robert Lortcher, Sr., 84, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 at his home in Franklinton, NC surrounded by his Loving family. Andrew was born on October 23, 1941 to the late Andrew Oscar and Thelma (Balduff) Lortcher. Andrew served in the Army, Owned a store in Norwalk, Ohio on 18, worked as a Cedar point Security guard, sold vegetables out of the back of his pickup truck to help shut ins in Sandusky, Ohio, and was a member of the American Legion Post 52. Andrew was a Loving husband and Father, had an Awesome personality and a Love of people especially his family. He enjoyed Life and made the best of his illness all the way until God called him home.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Ann Glover Lortcher; his daughters, Angel Schwiefert and Andrea (Michael) Jenkins;grandchildren, Victoria Jenkins, Anna Buckley- Schoelzel, Mindy Buckley, Rena Lortcher, several Great Grandkids, several nieces and nephews; his sisters, Velda Eskins and Esther Strait; and his brother, Paul (Donna) Lortcher.

In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his sons, Mead Buckley, Johnny Lortcher, and Andrew Lortcher Jr.; and siblings, Alpha White, Norman Lortcher, Wayne Lortcher, and Laverne Nuthall.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday August 27, 2026 at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St. Franklinton, NC 27525.
