He was predeceased by: his parents, James Emil Keith Sr. and Myrdia Lee Duke; his siblings, Melvin Keith, James Emil Keith Jr. and Tessa Jones; and his son Randy Jernigan.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Keith (Krista), Kenneth Keith (Robin), Shelia Gray, Jeannene Jernigan, Pamela Williams and Theresa Budds; his grandchildren, Austin Keith, Kameron Keith, Brittany Keith-Bradshaw and Ryan Keith; his great grandchildren, Rayne Coley and Braleigh Turbeville; and his siblings, Jerry Wayne Keith (Crystal), Dorthey Allen Jean McDowell (Donald), Carlton Keith (Betty), Curtis Keith (Vickie), Rosa Brannon (Timmy) and Tommy Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home (834 N Main St, Creedmoor, NC 27522). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home - Creedmoor (834 N Main St, Creedmoor, NC 27522). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at the Olive Grove Baptist Church (3024 Olive Grove Church Rd, Creedmoor, NC 27522).
