Elaine Ross Smith Obituary
Elaine Ross Smith, 91, of Franklinton, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1935 to the late Johnny and Irene Haley Ross in Franklin County, NC.
In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by her life partner, Donald Wright and her grandson, Richard M. Smith.
Elaine is survived by her children, Richard Smith (Kathy), Nancy Satterwhite, and Tony Smith (Pam); five grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Elaine always enjoyed working. She worked until she was 79 years old. Elaine grew up attending Union View Church in Franklinton, later becoming a member at Pocomoke Cowboy Church. She loved and adored her family. Elaine was a great storyteller and enjoyed flowers.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 3:00pm at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton and will be officiated by Pastor Spencer Strickland.
