Michael Shane Ferguson Obituary

Michael Shane Ferguson, 54, of Franklinton passed away on June 22, 2026 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Shane was born on November 6, 1971 in Winchester, IN to Larry and Patty (Wynn) Ferguson.

Shane worked as a mold maker at Ardagh Glass Plant and was the president of the Steelworker's Union until he retired under his disability. His favorite activities, interests, and achievements include bringing unity in Jesus Christ within the motorcycle community, showing compassion and love amongst brothers and sisters in Christ and being a disciple for Christ. Additionally, Shane was a sitting board member of Yeshua's Army Motorcycle Ministry, LilWolf Ministries and LilWolf Ministries Community Outreach (Anderson, IN).

Shane was preceded in death by his Aunt Peggy Wynn (Decatur, IN), his Uncle Eddie Wynn (Winchester, IN) and Grandparents Roy and Christine Wynn (Winchester, IN).

Shane is survived by his wife Kristy Ferguson (Franklinton, NC), two daughters Chelsea Hernandez (Jacksonville, NC), Michelle Ferguson (Winchester, IN), and two sons Zackory Bechtol (Dunkirk, IN), Tylor Ferguson (Winchester, IN). Two granddaughters and a grandson; and sister Valerie Foudray (Winchester, IN).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg, NC.
