She was predeceased by: her siblings, Russell Smith, Irene Smith and Rachel Whitt. She is survived by: her husband James "Pete" Holmes; her daughters, Susan Stover of Wake Forest and Sandra Eder (Edward) of Honolulu, HI.; her grandchildren, Alex Stover, Sophia Eder, Edward Eder and Anthony Eder; and her brother-in-law Clifton Whitt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Masonic Home for Children 600 College Street Oxford, NC 27565.
