Richard Allen Walton Obituary
Richard Allen Walton, Jr., 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Franklinton, NC, on May 18, 2026.
Richard was born on August 23, 1949, to the late Richard Allen Walton, Sr. and Margaret Scarbrough Walton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Walton.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Kay Worley Walton; his sons, Eric Walton, Dennis Walton, and Matthew Walton; and his stepson, Jason Kasick.
Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. Following his military service, he worked in civil service and government contracting.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason Street, Franklinton, NC.
Richard will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the quiet strength and integrity with which he lived his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
