In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Ruth leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Ruth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Effie Humphries Goss and Bud Rowland Goss; her son James "Jimmy" Champion; her grandson James "Jamie" Russell Champion; and her daughter Linda Champion Tilley.
She is survived by: her daughter Virginia Bradshaw; her grandchildren, Kimberly Wheeler (Benson) and Michael Todd Champion; and her great grandchildren, Allyson Culbreth, Victoria Champion, Travis Culbreth and Mark Culbreth.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Banks Methodist Church (2632 NC-96, Franklinton, NC 27525). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
