He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Sylvester Hicks and Callie Mae Kearn Hicks; his wife Melanie Hicks; his brother Richard Hicks; and his grandson Kevin Hicks.
He is survived by: his sons, Calvin Hicks and Anthony Hicks Richard Hicks (Marie); and his sister Faye Joyner (Kenneth). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
