He is survived by: his wife Sue Dotson Shortridge; his daughters, Melinda Shortridge Kidd (Danny) of Asheboro and Crystal Denise Batchelor (John "Bob") of Franklinville; his grandchildren, Cameron, Hunter and Maleah; and his brothers, Daniel Shortridge (Patty) of Honaker and David Shortridge (Patricia) of Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
