He was predeceased by: his daughter Shannon Hall Parrish; his parents, Weldon Hall and Betty Cartland Hall; and his sisters, Connie Parker and Linda Register.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smith Hall; his sons, Todd Hall (Amanda) of Liberty and Jeremy Smith (Amanda) of Staley; his brothers, Richard Hall (Donna) of Asheboro and John Hall (Alesia) of Pleasant Garden; his grandchildren, Christian Parrish (Maggie), Taylor Smith, Mikayla Hall and Olivia Hall; and his great grandchildren, McKinley Kalanaharos, Kolesyn Smith and Lainey Parrish.
