He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Waters and Hester Langley Waters; his wife Carolyn Epps Waters; his children, Deborah Purdy and Michael Waters; and his siblings, Rachel Holland, Joyce Newcomb and Willie Marvin Waters, Sr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Dwight Waters (Rose) and Jo Ann Barbour; his grandchildren, Donna Myatt, Del Lockamy (Sherri), Dusty Waters (Kristina), Christy Montgomery (Rocko) and Christopher Waters (Lindsay); his great grandchildren, Amanda Myatt (Patrick), Justin Myatt (Donna), Hayleigh Wise, Hunter Brown, Kendell Mateer, Olivia Waters, Anna Bryant, River Bryant, Mathew Waters and Hallie Waters; his great great grandchildren, Holden Best, Wyatt Ellis and Grayson Brogden; and his friend Nan Blehi.
