He was predeceased by: his sister Belle Byrd Allen. He is survived by: his wife Faye; his children, Brian Byrd (Dolly) of Canton, NC and Cheri Byrd Echevarria (Steve) of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Ellery Byrd of Canton, NC, Evan Byrd of Canton, NC, Megan Echevarria of Portland, OR and Seth Echevarria of Edwardsville, IL; and his sister Jean Byrd Lee of Clayton, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
