He was predeceased by: his parents, Theresia May and Floyd "Cub" Harrison McGahan. He is survived by: his wife Christine McGahan; his children, Tammy Tyndall (Jim) and Joe McGahan (Tina Dixon); and his grandchildren, Katie Tyndall Blackman (Justin), Jamie Tyndall (Haylee Everett), Amanda McGahan and Daniel McGahan.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery (200 N Vance St, Fremont, NC 27830). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's memory to the American Red Cross, 600 N. George Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
