Mavis leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mavis’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Mavis will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosa Robinson and Dock Robinson; her sister Bessie Stanley; and her grandson Randal Fulghum. She is survived by: her husband Lewis Mooring; her sons, Donnie (Tami Mooring), Robert (Pam Mooring) and Travis (Courtney Mooring) of Fremont; and her sisters, Lois Gardner, Gayle Pate (Kenneth), Aileen Mooring and Dale Robinson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
