He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hooks Lane, Sr. and Helon Taylor Lane; his son William "Hooks" Lane, III; and his brother Walter Mark Lane. He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Lane (Becky-Jo) of Pikeville and Jonathan Lane (Jennifer) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Victoria Lane Regulski (Drew) of Cary, Michael Lane, Bridgette Lane of Pikeville, Annabelle Lane and Willow Lane of Goldsboro; and his sisters, Betsy Lane Hales of Prattville, AL and Faye Lane Thigpen of Goldsboro. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
