With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard Franklin McLeod Jr. of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2025 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Cozart McLeod; his daughter Martha Cozart McLeod; and his parents, Bernard Franklin McLeod, Sr. and Lacy Anne Yearby McLeod. He is survived by: his sons, Bernard Franklin McLeod, III (Elaine) and Wiley Stewart McLeod (Tammy); his granddaughters, Martha Heath (Tyler), Hannah Parks (Kevin), Madison Turner (Matt), Hilary Squire (Tom) and Caroline McLeod; and his great grandchildren, Emory, Powell Heath, Brooks, Tucker, Grace and Eleanor Parks.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church (100 S Judd Pkwy SE, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens (905 Wake Chapel Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
