We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2023, at the age of 82, Edith Ruth (Lhommedieu) Dewey of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas L'Hommedieu and Ruth L'Hommedieu; and her brother-in-law William Heim. She is survived by: her husband James Addison Dewey Sr.; her siblings, Douglas L'Hommedieu (Patsy) and Judy Heim; her children, Tina Hobbs (Kevin), Amy Wolcott (Michael) and James Dewey Jr. (Karen); her grandchildren, Jeremy Keene (Rudi), Stephanie Hayes (Greg), Rhiannon Dewey, Delaney Dewey, Abigail Dewey, Ashley Fide (Chris), Nichole Wolcott, Stephanie Sanville (Brett), Michael Wolcott and Austin Wolcott (Madison); and her close friends, Bob, Peggy Roach, Craig and Ginny Chilcott. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Edie to the Columbarium Fund at Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church, 100 S Judd Pkwy SE, Fuquay Varina NC 27526.
