He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Katie Mae Mims; his son Michael Shawn Mims; his stepdaughter Karen Colley; his siblings, Otis Mims (Joyce) of Holly Springs, NC, Carliss Mims Kizer of Greenville, NC and Kathy Turner (Harold) of Holly Springs, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Pattie Mims of Cary and Bobbie Clemons. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
