He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Rooney (Betty Rooney) and George Hart; and his brother Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Karen Rooney; his daughter Tracy Johnson (David); his grandchildren, Jacob (Angelina), Jessica (Sean), Courtney (CJ) and DW; his great grandchildren, Tobin, Winnie, Evie, Ellie and Bruce; and his siblings-in-law, Mark (Vicki), Kevin (Wendy) and Donna (Charlie). He is also survived by four nieces, four nephews and one great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel (401 N Ennis St, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens (905 Wake Chapel Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526).
