He is survived by: his wife Melanie Overbay; his daughters, Kim Poindexter Brown (David) of Fuquay-Varina and Sharon Monk of Winston-Salem; his granddaughters, Lauren Peavy (James) of La Romana, Sarah Vancil (Taylor) of Richmond, Virginia, Sheena Hathcock (Jeffrey) of Albemarle, Brianna Houston (Aaron) of Lynchburg and Mikayla Monk of Lexington, Kentucky; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Caroline, Katherine, Charlotte Peavy, Selah, Wesley Vancil and Jayden Hathcock.
