He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Heggie of Fuquay-Varina, NC; his brothers, Horace Heggie (Gertha) of Knightdale and Calvin Heggie of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Heggie of Holly Springs and Bobby Lawrence of Waldorf, MD. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
