He is survived by: his wife Joyce Thomas Owens; his children, Adam Owens, Daniel Ray Thompson of Clinton, NC and Erica Thomas of Clinton, NC; his siblings, Janice Highsmith (Debor Lloyd), Phyllis (James), Sutton of Windsor, NC, Leander Owens (Annie) of Garland, NC, Howard Owens (Everlene) of Garland, NC and Marvin (Christina); his aunt Pattie Mae Russ (Theodore); his siblings-in-law, Richard (Sue), Perry L. Moore of Siler City, NC, Frederick Thomas, Eddie Smith of Fayetteville, NC and Ruby Thomas of Roseboro, NC; and his friends, Leander and Annie Owens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
