Smith of Elizabethtown, NC, Carey Smith (Mima) of Fredericksburg, VA, Freddie Smith of Goldsboro, NC and Tyrone Smith of Lusby, MD.; his nephew Timothy Smith; his sister-in-law Starr Smith; and his nephew Carey Smith Jr.. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
His contributions to the education system reflect not only his skills but also his deep sense of responsibility and care for the environment in which the community's children learned and grew.
