She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father James Luther Thomas; her mother-in-law Lillie Murphy Thomas; her husband Leo James Skinner; her children, James "Jimmy" Skinner (Shana) of Harrells and Demetrice "Dee" Skinner (Carzellous) of Charlotte; her mother Lillie Thomas of Garland; her siblings, Veronica Thomas of Garland, Sheila Smith (Dean) of Garland, Garfield Thomas (Shirley), Luther Ray Thomas (Willa Dean) of Raleigh and Clarkston Thomas (Connie) of Garland; and her friend Lille Thomas. She was also cherished by grandchildren.
