He is survived by: his son Kenny Tyrone Cowan of Virginia; and his siblings, Herman Cowan of Rose Hill, NC, Vernon Cowan of New Haven, CT, Marie Peterson (Robert) of Lucama, NC, Myesha Kerr and Melody Kerr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
