She was predeceased by: her parents, James McDonald and Maxine McDonald; her husband Carroll Glenn Carter, Sr.; and her sister Judy King. She is survived by: her sons, Glenn Carter of Clayton and Scott Carter (Karen) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Christina Cheers (Craig) of Wilmington, Savannah Fairley (Jason) of Clayton, Taylor Rowland (Michael) of Wilmington and Charleston Carter of Wilmington; her great grandchildren, Merrick, Carter, Airlie, Riggs and Elijah; and her sisters, Shirley Wamsley, Connie Townsend and Betsy Mire.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home- Garner (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
