She is survived by: her sons, Glenn Carter of Clayton and Scott Carter (Karen) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Christina Cheers (Craig) of Wilmington, Savannah Fairley (Jason) of Clayton, Taylor Rowland (Michael) of Wilmington and Charleston Carter of Wilmington; her great grandchildren, Merrick, Carter, Airlie, Riggs and Elijah; and her sisters, Shirley Wamsley, Connie Townsend and Betsy Mire.
