She is survived by: her sons, Alvin Downing, Jr. and Martin Downing of Durham, NC; and her siblings, Gail Roundtree of Raleigh, NC and Tony Johnson of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
