She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph P. Dempsey; and her son Joseph Todd Dempsey. She is survived by: her children, Denise Dempsey of Bowie, MD, Eric of Sanford, NC and Kathy of Durham, NC; and her close friends, Mary Louise Pickett, Wayne, Gloria Johnson, Marga "Sister Johnson" Perry, Cynthia Smith and Lisa Jackson. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Carolina Biblical Gardens (1530 Creech Rd, Garner, NC 27529).
