He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Sasser Waters and Louis A. Waters; and his brothers, Louis A. Waters (Pal) and Johnny M. Waters. He is survived by: his sons, Wesley (Cindy) of Johnston County and Mike (Valerie) of Garner; his brother Donald Waters (Sylvia) of Garner; his sister-in-law Susan E Waters; and his grandchildren, Weston Harold Waters, Rex Dean Waters, Joel Louis Waters, Autumn, Chloe, Landon and Jaxon. He is also survived by Several loving nieces and a nephew.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Road, Raleigh, NC 27603 or a charity of your choice.
