She is survived by: her daughter Melody Byrd Hocutt (Stephen); her husband Gerald Byrd; her son Billy Byrd; and her grandchildren, Geron Hocutt, Graham Byrd, Zane Hocutt and Ava Byrd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Aversboro Road Baptist Church (1600 Aversboro Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
In lieu of Flowers the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Jean's honor to Aversboro Road Baptist Church (1600 Aversboro Rd, Garner, NC 27529).
