She is survived by: her child Mashavu Gordon-Monds (Brian); her grandchildren, Ruby, Aidan and Lily Gordon-Monds; her siblings, Rozalind Newkirk (Aaron), William Lawrence Andrews and Darryl Andrews; and her husband Michael Gordon.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sanders Funeral Home Chapel (806 E Market St, Smithfield, NC 27577). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Generation Christian Church (4423 Wilsons Mills Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
