Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel and Christopher McElwey; his grandson Connor McElwey; and his brother Dave McElwey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Community Baptist Church (617 Cornwallis Rd, Garner, NC 27529).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Community Baptist for the new playground that they are building.
