He is survived by: his close friend Jimmy Hodges (Cindy) of Clayton; his daughters, Kimberly Sammons Thompson (Scott) of Garner and Sharon Sammons Fields (Wayne) of Smithfield; his grandsons, Christopher Thompson of Garner, Jonathan Thompson (Grace) of Leesburg, James Clark (Cori) of Bayse and Samuel Clark of Mt. Jackson, Virginia; his great grandchild Addi; and his sisters, Wanda Sammons Register of Lumberton and Delilah Sammons of Ocala. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
