He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Floyd Higgins and Penny Ruby Stephenson Higgins; and his sister Shirley Jean Higgins Sandy. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Byrd Higgins; his daughter Yvonne Michelle "Shelley" Higgins; his grandson Jesse Faircloth; and his siblings-in-law, George Sandy, Edith Honeycutt and Bonnie Knowles. He is also survived by two aunts and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
