With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Mitchell Faison of Garysburg, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lois may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lois touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sam Mitchell and Elnora Brown Mitchell.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cofield Mortuary (501 W 3rd St, Weldon, NC 27890). The lying in state was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Faithful Band Missionary Baptist Church (1233 Cornwallis Rd, Pleasant Hill, NC 27866). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
