As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Alva may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Dalton Stowe, Sr. and Essie Mendenhall Stowe; and his wife Beatrice Stewart Stowe. He is survived by: his son Michael L. Stowe (Betsy Rawls Patterson); his grandson William Webster Stowe (Catherine Rose Stowe); and his great grandchildren, Owen Thomas Stowe and Rose Adira Stowe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
