She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Kinlaw and Ina Mae Ivey Kinlaw; her husband Rev. Robert L. "Bob" Hicklin; her daughter Karen Hicklin Ward; and her son-in-law Gary Ward.
She is survived by: her son Cliff L. Hicklin (Barbara) of Blacksburg, SC; her brother Cliff Kinlaw of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Dwayne Ward (Tanya), Daryl Ward (Heather), Chris Hicklin (Kelly Minerva), Andy Hicklin, Jeff Hicklin (Ginger) and Jeremy Hicklin; and her great grandchildren, D. J. Ward (Stacey), Wesley Ward, Nikalus Ward (Isaac), Destinee Littlejohn (Wesley), Shea Ward (Nick), Ivey Ward, Tristin Hicklin, Macie Tomlinson (Justin), Ian Henson, Sadee Craft, Riley Hicklin, Oscar Hicklin, Teddy Hicklin, Talia Hicklin and Tate Hicklin. She is also survived by great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (108 S Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel (108 S Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
One of Billie's many contributions to her shared ministry with Bob was as an accomplished pianist and organist.
