It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Boyd Wood of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Malachi Wood and Ola Mae McCurry Wood; his son Douglas Wood; his grandson Casey Wood; and his sisters, Joyce Deaton and Faye Walton.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Morgan Wood; his children, Wanda Harris (Rich) of Ellenboro and Tracy Wood (Michelle) of Gastonia; his sister Mary Lou Heavner of Shelby; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Jason, Madison, Chris and Cameron. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
