He is survived by: his children, Shirley Longhway (Jeff), Ginger Huggins (Robert) and Clinton "Cotton" Russell Jr. (Katrina); and his siblings, Tom, Sam Russell and Shirley Waddell. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
