He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Hardy and Evelyn S. Hardy; his wife Elinor Hardy; his brothers, Lewis E. Hardy and Theodore F. Hardy; and his son-in-law Jack Melchiorre.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Melchiorre and Nancy Jones (Gene); his grandchildren, Karen Melchiorre, John Melchiorre (Sandi), Laura Jones and Lisa Jones Cook (David); his sister-in-law Sylvia Lomeli; and his niece Virginia Hardy. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, several other nieces and nephews.
