He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Heffner and Ellen Heffner; his son Randall Heffner; his siblings, Elise Hayes, Boyd and Jake Heffner; and his sister-in-law Myrtle Heffner.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Susan St. George; his daughters, Amy Heffner Rutherford and Teresa Cardwell (Kelly); his brother Joe Heffner; and his grandchild Morgan Lovett (Trae). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
