He was predeceased by: his parents, Tracy W. Smith (Ethel Bess Smith) and Ranlo; his daughters, Linda Miller and Cindy Dameron; his grandson Brian Michael Guthrie; and his sisters, Beatrice "Batchy" Brown and Virginia "Gee" Jordan.
He is survived by: his significant other Bertie Rudisill Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
