We announce the death of Doris Allman McClure of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 87. Doris will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Conley Newton Allman and Virgie Mauney Allman; her husband Marshall F. McClure; her grandson Chase McClure; and her siblings, Ruby Kirkland, Margaret Johnson, Pearl Sikes, Peggy Jackson, Joann Budd, Eugene Allman, C. J. Allman and Paul Allman.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy McClure (Gina), Angie Rutlege (Gary) and Kim Rice (Eric); her grandchildren, Nick McClure (Chelsea), Rachel Braxton (Saul), Victoria Gentry (Josh), Colby Long (Byron), Aaron Whitaker (Alex), Kristina Marquard (Richard), Harrison Rice (Kirsten), Meredith Rice, Hannah Norman and Rebecca Stansberry; and her sister Shirley Moffett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring - Robin Johnson House.
