He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Leroy Hoffman and Lela Gibson Hoffman; his siblings, Manly Hoffman and Polly Ward; and his niece Vicki Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hoffman; his daughter Angela Hoffman Payne; his grandchildren, Catherine Payne, Madison Payne and Olivia Payne; his sister Jean Moore (Robert); and his sibling's children, Mike Mahaffey (Terry), Steve Mahaffey, Barry Ward (Jill), Karen Goodwin (Eric) and Susan McMakin (Patrick).
