He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Lewis and May Bell Lewis; his wife Helen Brooks Lewis; his sons, David Lewis and Robert Lewis; and his siblings, Willie, Fred, Mermon, Clarence Lewis, Eva Davis, Peggy Allen, Mary Lou Satterfield and Pearl Satterfield.
He is survived by: his sons, Ron (Jerri Lewis) of Kings Mountain and Chuck (Angie Lewis) of Gastonia. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
