It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Floyd Barnett (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in York, South Carolina, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Barnett and Eunice Barnett; and his siblings, Mable Stephens and Danny Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Barnett; his daughters, Vickie Cook and Dawn Lackey; his stepchildren, Leigh Ann Nycum (Robin) and Marty McDaniel; his sisters, Linda Hodge, Mildred Barnett and Debbie Perkins; his grandchildren, Cole Nycum, Luke Nycum, Shauna Nycum, Gavin McDaniel and Logan McDaniel; and his pet Brodie. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
