She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Pruett and Marcus Cochran; her husband John D. Cody; and her son Daniel A. Cody. She is survived by: her daughter Phyllis; her grandchildren, Angela Hollis and Mark Wise; her son Scott D. Cody; her grandson David Cody; Larry Cody and Daniel Cody. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park (2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054). A committal service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Gaston Memorial Park (2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054).
