He was predeceased by: his parents, George Greer and Pauline Greeson Shaw; and his siblings, Jack, Bill, John Shaw, Carleen Neese, Ruth Moore, Ruby Neese, Toby Watts and Bobbie Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Lou Shaw; his son Eddie; his daughter-in-law Kathy Shaw; his daughter Sheila; his son-in-law Mark Lloyd; his grandchildren, Caroline Newton (Brandon), Casey Shaw (Courtney), Nicole Northey (Ryan), Christopher Lloyd and Catherine Puckett (late Jay Puckett); and his great grandchildren, Bryant, Jaxson Newton, Hadley, Ethan, Joanna, Charlie Shaw, Abigail, Nathan Northey, Blakely and Noah Puckett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Little Red School House at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 S. New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
